AEW stars draw their influences from various forms of sports and entertainment. Pro wrestling history is obviously going to play a huge part in that inspiration which is why Brodie Lee named a signature move after one of the greats.

A clip from a Big Boss Man vs Kenta Kobashi match surfaced online. This footage showed Boss Man’s incredible clothesline spot.

The Inner Circle’s Santana tweeted out this video to praise Boss Man’s ability to bounce off the second rope like he did. AEW referee Bryce Remsburg replied to reveal a special connection that spot has with the Exalted One.

“Mr. Brodie Lee refers to this as “The Boss Man” in his honor! A wonderful legacy.”
