SPOILER On WWE’s IC Title Plans For SmackDown This Week

WWE needed to take the Intercontinental Title off Sami Zayn. He wasn’t happy about this and still considers himself an undefeated champion. The company will need to figure out someone else to carry the title now.

It was previously announced that a tournament will begin that will determine new IC Champion. The company got started on that process right away. PW Insider reports that the tournament will begin this week on Friday Night SmackDown.

The tournament for the vacant WWE Intercontinental Championship tournament will start this Friday, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

We’ll have to see who is in the Intercontinental Title Tournament. At this time no participants have been revealed.

This is a bad situation for Sami Zayn to have his title reign ended like this. It will also open the door for someone else to take that title and get a chance to earn the spotlight for at change.
