While Seth Rollins may be more of a polarizing figure these days, back in 2016, he was one of the most popular stars in the company after he returned to WWE at Extreme Rules.

He went on to briefly recapture the WWE Championship at Money in the Bank, on a night that saw Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns all hold the gold.

Alas, while it may have been one hell of an evening, Seth wasn’t 100% happy with how things turned out.

Rollins is just being hard on himself, and as a result of all this chaos, we did manage to see the long-awaited Shield triple threat match at Battleground.

Seth was still portraying an anti-hero/heel sort of role in this match, and it wouldn’t be until a few months later that he finally transitioned into becoming a babyface.

Reigns, on the other hand, was suspended shortly after this match.
