Impact Wrestling’s dive back into TNA nostalgia brought back the old TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Moose declared himself the new TNA World Champion after bringing the title back during Impact Wrestling’s Rebellion special.

Tessa Blanchard couldn’t make the event as Impact World Champion. This prompted Moose to bring back the old TNA Title.

This started as Michael Elgin came out to complain that Tessa Blanchard and Eddie Edwards missed the event due to the pandemic. Then Moose came out with the TNA World Title already around his waist. Hernandez entered the situation and they had a triple threat match which Moose won.

We’ll have to see if this means Moose vs Tessa Blanchard is set for down the line. This is a wise booking decision with Blanchard unable to make the tapings. Now she will get to supposedly battle Moose in a title unification match of some kind later on.
