Paul Heyman has always been known as the King of Extreme as a result of his baby, Extreme Championship Wrestling, becoming the phenomenon that it was in the 90s and noughties.

A few years ago, Heyman was given the task of opening up the NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia event with a speech to really get the fans excited about what they were about to watch.

It’s safe to say that he knocked it out of the park, as you’d expect.

As the years go on it’ll be interesting to see whether or not Heyman starts to have any more involvement with NXT, because let’s face it, that’s the brand that he probably always wanted the new ECW to become when it was brought back in 2006.

Heyman may portray a heel alongside Brock Lesnar on WWE programming, but all he really wants is to see the success of the company grow in the years to come.

Will he be back by Brock’s side in the next few months? Only time will tell.
