Vince McMahon has the power to fire anyone in his company that he chooses. There is a good reason to stay away from him right now, especially considering how many firings he’s done recently.

McMahon wasn’t in very good mood at all after the XFL shut down. The wrongful termination lawsuit that followed didn’t help matters.

During PW Insider Elite Audio, Mike Johnson stated that Vince McMahon’s bad moods have become a running joke backstage in the company.

“A couple of weeks ago, Vince McMahon was a grumpy SOB because of the XFL going down and I got calls from people who knew — there were people who were like, ‘Yeah, I’m gonna stay out of the building for as long as I can and sit in my car or take the widest path that I can to stay out of his way and stay out of his vision.”

“It’s a running joke in the company, you know it’s great to do well in WWE and it’s great to get a raise and a promotion, but the raise and promotion you don’t wanna get is the one that’s gonna put you in the direct sight of Vince McMahon.”

Johnson stated that there is a history of people working directly with Vince McMahon who are suddenly terminated, moved away, or demoted. It doesn’t seem to matter if they’re his own family members.

Vince McMahon might not be in the best mood right now, but it’s understandable. He’s under a lot of stress. There might not be much social distancing backstage in WWE, but everyone is apparently trying to stay 6 feet away from Vince McMahon.
