Drew McIntyre won the WWE Title at WrestleMania 36, and he started an important part of his career. As champion, McIntyre is determined to present a different side of himself for the WWE Universe.

While speaking to Chasing Glory, Drew McIntyre revealed that he told WWE writers to not give him lines to repeat word-for-word. This is much different from other Superstars who must say things verbatim.

McIntyre also explained that he wants to present a real character for fans. This interview was recorded right after Drew McIntyre took on Andrade during RAW. They were able to bring back real history and make that a part of the storyline to bring present realism to the contest.

“I want it all to be very real, like everything, I just want 100% real, like you get real Drew, I want real stories, like Andrade last night, that was based on a real story, I tore my bicep, people can feel it, I could use real emotion, remembering how I felt when I tore my bicep, and then going forward, I want everything to be as real as it can absolutely be, I want people to feel it, and that’s very big for me right now, it’s just, nothing is put on, I want Drew McIntyre, you see it, you know it’s going to be real, you’re going to feel it.”
