WWE NXT ran a show on the USA Network this week, but the main event match didn’t feature the usual tandem representing the Undisputed Era. Roderick Strong wrestled in the place of Kyle O’Reilly, but there was a very good reason for that.

We previously reported that Kyle O’Reilly runs a higher risk to contract COVID-19. His is diabetic and that is a chance he wasn’t willing to take. He did not work this week’s television tapings due to the risk.

Dave Meltzer confirmed on Wrestling Observer Radio that Kyle O’Reilly did not work the WWE NXT television tapings due to the elevated risk associated with the novel coronavirus. The Undisputed Era were unsuccessful in capturing the NXT Tag Team Titles from Matt Riddle and replacement partner Timothy Thatcher.

We will have to see if he is able to come back. It would be hard to blame him if O’Reilly decided to wait until things are much safer in regards to his personal health.
