Goldberg lost the WWE Universal Title to Braun Strowman. WrestleMania 36 was a very interesting event with an unconventional build that included Goldberg becoming Universal Champion in Saudi Arabia.

Braun Strowman reportedly won the WWE Universal Title because Goldberg didn’t want to carry on with the company. Dave Meltzer jumped on the F4WOnline forum and he dismissed these rumors.

Meltzer said the “story is untrue.” He went on to say that, “I explained that exactly as it happened when it happened. So totally untrue.”

It’s unclear when Goldberg will make a return to WWE. He previously stated that he’ll keep coming back as long as Vince McMahon calls him.

Goldberg might have simply told Vince McMahon that he didn’t want to keep working through the current novel coronavirus pandemic. He will be back which is the point Meltzer was trying to make.

How would you book Goldberg’s return? Do you think he needs to come back a month before WrestleMania 38 and get another title run? Sound off in the comments below!
