WWE NXT brought a taped show to the USA Network this week. They aired two matches that were initially intended for NXT TakeOver: Tampa. Mauro Ranallo’s voice provided commentary for half of the episode, but he didn’t make the show.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, it was noted that Mauro Ranallo didn’t have to leave California to record his commentary for WWE NXT this week. This is also why he provided solo commentary during the first hour.

“Mauro Ranallo was announcing for the first hour. The second hour had no announcing. The first hour was Mauro Ranallo solo with nobody else. He was not at the building. He actually did this from California.”

WWE is filming ton of material in the next week. Knowing that Mauro Ranallo recorded his commentary in such a way it should give fans hope that Ranallo can keep taping his commentary remotely.

WWE NXT Superstars might have been performing in front of zero live fans, but Mauro Ranallo’s voice on commentary helped provide a bit of normalcy.
