WWE had a few options for WrestleMania 36 this year. Vince McMahon was determined to hold the show of shows and it will air this weekend. It almost happened in front of zero fans at Raymond James Stadium.

Sports Illustrated reports that Vince McMahon considered running WrestleMania 36 in an empty Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

Vince McMahon didn’t give up this idea on his own. He was “forced” to give it up. It wouldn’t be a good look for Florida to allow WWE to hold the show of shows in an empty Raymond James Stadium.

The thought that the WWE Performance Center looks better without a crowd also played into their reasons. WrestleMania 36 will be a very unique event, and there were some issues to pull it off, but Vince McMahon was determined to make it happen.
