The coronavirus isn’t going away and it only just started. Events, conventions, sporting events, and concerts all over are being called off, cancelled, postponed, or held without an audience. WWE doesn’t want WrestleMania to be one of them.

The city of Tampa will meet on Thursday and discuss the possibility of shutting down major events in the city. They have already had cases pop up in the area.

Wrestle Votes reports that there isn’t much information right now. If WWE is allowed to hold WrestleMania 36 in Tampa as planned they will. The only thing that would hold them back at this point is if they were told that they are not allowed. At this point, it is “all very fluid.”

I asked a few sources about Mania & the Corona situation. Some had no info to relay. One said: “if it can go on as planned, it will”

Safe to say WWE just doesn’t know yet. All very fluid. All TBD.

WWE instituted a strict no touching policy for their Superstars at meet and greets. This new edict from the company reportedly left Superstars relieved.

We’ll keep a close eye on this situation. 2020 might be a very special year for a lot of reasons. The CDC just classified the coronavirus as a pandemic. We’ll have to see how it might go to change WWE’s plans.
