WWE Super ShowDown just happened, but the company’s 10-year deal in Saudi Arabia is still on-going. They will be going back one more time before the year closes.

We previously reported that WWE is planning their next Saudi Arabian trip for October. Wrestling Club reported that they were told this was the plan by “WWE staff” during their last Saudi trip.

PW Insider has added to this story. The company originally considered a return to Saudi Arabian on August 20th. That idea was declined because heat in Saudi Arabia is around 100 to 120 degrees during that time of year. It was also far too close to SummerSlam on August 23rd.

WWE is already working on their return to Saudi Arabia, PWInsider.com has confirmed.  At one point, a date of Thursday 8/20 was pitched (believed to be for an event in Jeddah) but with the close proximity to Summerslam weekend and the likelyhood that temperatures would soar into the 100-120 degree range, that idea was shot down.

It was then said that WWE is “looking at a return in late October or early November.”

We’ll have to see what date they lock down. As we previously reported, WWE was floating an October date in Saudi Arabia during the Super ShowDown event.
