Cody Rhodes defeated Wardlow at the end of AEW Dynamite this week. It was a very tough win, but The American Nightmare was able to pull it off.

Following Dynamite, Cody Rhodes had a chance to address the Atlanta crowd. They showered him with chants of “Cody,” to show their appreciation of what he did for their entertainment.

Cody said that venue is the exact spot where he fell in love with wrestling. He went to an Atlanta show to see his father wrestle when he was a kid. He didn’t realize how big of a star his own father was. Then he heard how loud the fans cheered for his dad.

It was a very emotional speech. He thanked fans for being hard on him when he first started. It kept him coming back week after week to try harder.

It was a big night for Cody Rhodes as he performed in front of his hometown crowd. Huge “Welcome Home” chants came out of the crowd directed at Cody and they cheered the fact that WarnerMedia signed Dynamite on for three more years.
