The last few weeks of WWE programming have allowed Randy Orton to return to his lunatic roots in the only way that he knows how: by bludgeoning the WWE Universe’s most beloved wrestlers.

His first victim was none other than the returning Rated-R Superstar Edge who, one night after the Royal Rumble, was put back on the shelf by his former friend Orton in a vicious attack.

Randy then turned his attention to Matt Hardy after the ‘Broken’ star called The Viper out for his assault of Edge – which, eventually, led to him probably writing Matt off of WWE television for a while last night.

Despite being a member of the All Elite Wrestling roster, one man who couldn’t help but praise Orton’s work on social media is none other than Shawn Spears. The man formerly known as Tye Dillinger was able to witness Randy’s work first hand during his time with WWE, and he’ll be well aware of the fact that he’s still one of the best in the business.

Spears made sure to note on social media that he believes the majority of professional wrestlers in the business today could learn a thing or two from the ways of Randy Orton, especially when it comes to his psychology in the ring.

Nobody knows what the future of this character shift for Orton is going to hold, but one thing is for sure: it’s the most invested we’ve all been in him for quite some time.
