Vince McMahon reportedly made an impulse decision yesterday. That choice resulted in the dismissal of the company’s Co-Presidents and the stock took huge tumble.
George Barrios and Michelle Wilson didn’t see eye to eye with Vince McMahon’s vision for WWE. They were removed from their positions in move that sent WWE HQ into panic mode.
The overall atmosphere at WWE’s Stamford Headquarters is very uncomfortable right now. Brad Shepard reports that one thing that could have certainly led to Barrios and Wilson’s exits was their open opinions about Vince McMahon rebooting the XFL
A source in #WWE: Wilson and Barrios were “talking shit” about the XFL before they left.
We’ll have to see what WWE’s next moves are. The company is currently involved in lawsuit to see exactly where the XFL money is coming from.
WWE’s 2019 fourth quarter financials should be a very interesting read next week as well.
