Intellectual property is the name of the game. If you own a trademark on something then nobody else can take it unless they want to run the risk of legal action.

Shawn Spears realizes this all too well. Now he has filed a new trademark on “The Reaper.” This filing was done on January 23rd.

This new filing is under the realm of professional wrestling. It seems like he has plans for this name along with “The Chairman” and “Perct10n” which he also trademarked recently.

Interestingly enough, Spears used Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP to file this trademark. They are the same firm who have filed trademarks for Andrade, Charlotte Flair, Joey Janela, Cody Rhodes, and The Revival as well.
