WWE superstar Baron Corbin seemingly took time out of his evening last night in order to take a shot at All Elite Wrestling.
While NXT was also in the midst of their broadcast when he decided to take to Twitter, the timing of his ‘statement’ certainly seems to show that he was referencing the number one contender tag team match on AEW Dynamite between Kenny Omega/Hangman Page, Santana/Ortiz, The Young Bucks and The Best Friends.
To cut a short story even shorter, Corbin wasn’t best pleased with the sheer volume of spots that were on display throughout the course of the match.
The King definitely knows what he’s doing in baiting the masses, especially with all of the AEW fans that, as he probably predicted, came rushing over to defend their show against a guy that is largely considered to be pretty unpopular within the WWE Universe.
The old “that’ll put some butts in the seats” quote feels appropriate here, if only because Corbin was drawing attention to the fact that Dynamite was actually on – and all that was missing was a hashtag at the end of the tweet.
Corbin is a much better pro wrestler than a lot of fans and media members give him credit for, but let’s face it, where he thrives the most is in scenarios like this when he can let loose on the masses and try to get them tuning into WWE programming – with the hope that he’ll be beaten in an emphatic manner.
