William Regal Reflects On Successful NXT TakeOver: Blackpool 2 Event

Last night’s NXT TakeOver: Blackpool 2 event went down incredibly well with the WWE Universe, as NXT UK put on yet another top quality show under the lights of the famous Empress Ballroom.

Everyone from the higher-ups to the wrestlers themselves benefitted from what was a really special show, once again proving that the United Kingdom is one of the very best hotspots for professional wrestling in the world.

One man who knows that better than anyone is British wrestling legend William Regal who made sure to let everyone know just how happy he was about the way the show went.

Regal has been integral to the rise of NXT UK, and that’s entirely true of NXT, too. The guy has been at the forefront of this movement and as we look ahead to the immediate future, it certainly doesn’t appear as if that’s going to change any time soon.

We aren’t sure as to when the next big NXT UK event is going to be, aside from Worlds Collide of course, but we’re excited to see where this brand gets taken next.

It’s not everyone’s cup of tea and there’s an argument to be made about how self-indulgent it can be at times, but such is the nature of the business in the modern day. Either way, we still enjoy watching it, and most others do too.

P.S: If you do ever decide to head to Blackpool, get a stick of rock while you’re at it. You won’t regret it.
