Maxwell Jacob Friedman is certainly doing a great job in his role as one of All Elite Wrestling’s top heels, to the point where it feels like he’s starting to build up a genuine hatred from the fans as he continues to approach main event status.

Before he reaches such a point, however, he must first tackle the man that he betrayed not so long ago: and that man is Cody Rhodes. The two have been destined to square off ever since the heel turn took place, and now, it seems like Revolution is going to be the perfect place to house their battle.

For now, though, the build-up continues as MJF refuses to stop poking the bear prior to their showdown.

You’d have to imagine that this is all setting up a bit of a whooping for MJF when the match eventually goes down, but you never really can tell one way or the other with a high profile Cody match.

MJF just needs to keep doing what he’s doing in AEW, because at this rate, he could well be holding the AEW World Championship by the time we roll around to 2021.

That sounds like it’s quite a long time away but when you consider the fact that All Elite Wrestling has already celebrated its one-year anniversary, we’d going to go out on a limb and predict that the next 12 months are going to fly by as the promotion continues to establish itself as one of the very best in the business.
