The pro wrestling landscape is always changing and a new year can always bring new stars to free agency. Jeff Cobb has now joined the list of free agents in the pro wrestling world.

Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that Jeff Cobb’s ROH contract ran up on January 1st. He is currently working under a per show deal with the company. He decided on this arrangement instead of signing a long-term deal.

Cobb previously performed as Matanza Cueto on Lucha Underground. He has also wrestled for NJPW where he became NEVER Openweight Champion. He could end up venturing outside of ROH, but we’ll just have to see.

It is reported that the 37 year old is quite happy with ROH and the company’s direction. He doesn’t seem to be leaving any time soon. It will be interesting to see if things change for Cobb now that everyone knows he’s working on per night deal.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
