WWE might have a lot of surprises planned for Friday Night SmackDown. Elias and Sheamus are both backstage and could be returning. Liv Morgan is also rumored to be considered for a new role on television, but we’ll just have to see what WWE has planned.

Bray Wyatt will have a Firefly Fun House segment tonight. WWE said that they will be introducing a new face to the Fun House and a lot of people were hopeful that they could be talking about Liv Morgan.

The New Day will also put their SmackDown Tag Team Titles on the line. They will issue an open challenge for tonight so let’s just see what happens.

Opening Segment

Roman Reigns came down to the ring to a nice pop. Roman said in his household if you still have leftovers in the fridge, then it’s Thanksgiving, so “Happy Thanksgiving!” That was nice of him.

He said last year was a tough one and to be in the ring in good health surrounded by “new family” is a blessing. The crowd was eating it up. Then he said that Team SmackDown whooped some ass at Survivor Series and then a big “NXT” chant broke out. Reigns said “it’s all WWE,” but they didn’t get the job done. He’s just talking about the men’s elimination match, of course.

Then Roman Reigns thanked everyone who was on his team, except “one dummy on the team” named King Corbin. “I ain’t gonna thank a dummy, nah.” Then they brought the dummy out to the ring for an apology.

Then Corbin came out and said that Reigns must have lost his mind because it was his “fearless leadership” that helped lead SmackDown to victory. Corbin said he took out two men before Reigns turned on him.

Reigns said Corbin didn’t get the job done at Survivor Series, but he can get the job done in Birmingham, Alabama. Corbin made fun of Roman for caring about his family and then the crowd chanted “Roman.” Then King Corbin explained what it was like to be a king on Thanksgiving.

Then King Corbin insulted Alabama and their football after taking a shot at Roman Reigns’ wife for burning their store-bought Thanksgiving turkey. A match was set up next between Reigns and Robert Roode.

Roman Reigns vs Robert Roode

Roode slowed things down with a headlock after a short exchange to start off the match. Then Roman Reigns hit a shoulder tackle and Robert rolled out of the ring to talk with Ziggler and Corbin.

Ziggler distracted Reigns and Robert Roode took control and laid in some stomps. Then Roman came back with a couple of right hands and the last one sent Roode out of the ring.

Reigns followed Roode and nailed a drive-by. Then King Corbin distracted Reigns for a bit. Ziggler tried to grab Roman while he was getting back in the ring and Roode drove him off the apron into the announce table. So, Roode drove Reigns into the announce table once again before sending him spine-first into the barricade.

Roman ended up mounting a comeback when we came back from commercial. Then he cocked his fist and had to chase Ziggler off the apron before missing a Superman Punch. Roode hit a blockbuster for a two count and Corbin didn’t look happy.

Roman reversed out of a Glorious DDT and hit a powerbomb for a two count. Reigns was going for another Superman Punch, but Ziggler pulled Roode out of the ring. Roman hit a Superman Punch on Ziggler on the outside and Roode jumped him before sending him into the post and the ring steps.

They returned to the ring and Roode went for a top rope dive, but Reigns nailed a Superman Punch for a two count. Reigns went for a spear, but Roode countered with a spinebuster and a two count.

King Corbin gave his scepter to Roode and then Corbin distracted the referee. Reigns nailed a Superman Punch and a spear for the win.

Winner: Roman Reigns

After the match was over, Ziggler jumped Roman and beat him down. Roman hit a Samoan Drop to counter a Superman punch. Corbin took a post from Reigns, but Roode jumped Roman from behind and beat him down.

Then Roode went to get a steel chair and he got in the ring. He opened the chair and put Roman’s head on it. Before he could hit him with the scepter, Reigns moved and nailed a Superman punch. Then Reigns speared Roode through the barricade.

Then Reigns swung the steel steps and took Ziggler out before he tipped the announce desk up and then he tipped it over on Roode.

Firefly Fun House

Wyatt said he had such a great time with Survivor Series that The Fiend deserves a belt of his own. Wyatt wants to play with Daniel Bryan again.

Mustafa Ali vs Drew Gulak

Mustafa Ali won a short match with an 0-5-4.

Winner: Mustafa Ali

They showed Daniel Bryan who was pacing backstage thinking about Bray Wyatt wanting to play with him again.

Bayley & Sasha Banks

Banks said they’re not out for a “rah rah” speech because they can leave that on RAW. Banks said she didn’t get to pick her team because if she did then they would have won.

Bayley started talking and fans chanted “you tapped out” and “NXT” at her. Banks said the weakest link in her team was the “whole damn team.” She dissed all of her team mates at Survivor Series and then Bayley brought up Lacey Evans and then Evans came out.

Evans said not to test her patience because she just made a Thanksgiving dinner for 36 people including her in-laws. She said that they call themselves leaders, but she wouldn’t trust those two nasties to lead the chicken dance at a garden party. She said if they’re going to blame everyone for their failures, then it’s time for SmackDown to get a real locker room leader.

“Lacey Evans” chants broke out and then she said that they need a woman who wouldn’t tap out under pressure. The fans chanted “you tapped out” and then Evans nailed Banks with a Women’s Right before leaving like a lady.

Kayla Braxton asked Daniel Bryan if he’s ready to answer Bray Wyatt’s challenge. Suddenly, another Firefly Fun House segment aired with Huskus The Pig Boy eating too much at Thanksgiving. He said the only thing that will make him feel better is if Daniel Bryan plays with them again.

Wyatt said everything they know about Thanksgiving is a lie. The first Thanksgiving was actually with the muscle men and the reptilians. Then they did the muscle man dance. After all that, Daniel Bryan said nothing.

Sonya Deville vs Nikki Cross

Mandy Rose made fun of Nikki Cross and got her mad so she walked right into a fist from Deville. Then Nikki had to fight from underneath for a bit. Then Nikki got the pin.

Winner: Nikki Cross

Fire & Desire tried to beat up Nikki after the match, but Alexa Bliss made her return for the save.

Dana Brooke and Drake Maverick were backstage. Drake tried to get Dana to kiss him and then Elias came back and sang a song about him.

New Day Open Challenge

Kofi and Big E came out and talked about Black Friday before opening the door for a challenge. Also, it should be noted that Big E was wearing a jacket with Xavier Woods on it. Then Shinsuke Nakamura, Cesaro, and Sami Zayn came out. Zayn did all the talking.

Sami Zayn came out and cast shame on them for talking about Thanksgiving and Black Friday. He said it’s high time that the tag team championships are held by a team who are men and understand things.

The New Day vs Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro

Shinsuke took control of Kofi from the start until Kingston hit a dropkick for a two count. Then Cesaro took the tag and continued applying pressure to Kofi.

Cesaro threw Kingston out of the ring and rammed him against the announce table as they went to commercial.

Big E took the tag when we came back from commercial. To had control of Shinsuke until he nailed a kick and tagged Cesaro who hit a top rope headbutt for a two count.

Cesaro went to the outside and Kofi hit a dive, but Cesaro nailed him with a forearm shot. Then Kofi rolled up Shinsuke Nakamura after reversing a Kinshasa. Nakamura nailed a sliding knee for a two count that Big E broke up.

Then Cesaro took the tag and Kingston had no one to tag as Cesaro backed him into the corner and whaled on him until Kofi nailed a kick to the head. Cesaro caught Kofi off a Trouble In Paradise. The referee stopped Sami Zayn from hitting Kofi with the plate of pancakes so he was tossed out of the match.

Then Kofi hit a Trouble In Paradise and won.

Daniel Bryan Speaks

Daniel Bryan came out and it looked like he had a lot to say. Daniel Bryan said that he was changed during his match with Wyatt, but it wasn’t because of the Fiend, it was because of the fans.

“Yes” chants broke out and Bryan said that he’s said that the Yes Movement is dead, but “maybe, just maybe you guys brought it back to life.” Then he asked the fans if he should accept Wyatt’s challenge for a Universal Title match.

Bryan did the “Yes” chants with them and a Firefly Fun House episode came on the big screen. Yowie Wowie!

Wyatt said the new energy is exciting, but Wyatt will change Bryan. He will show everyone his true form but it’s only fair because he helped change Wyatt. “You remember why, because he certainly does.”

Then Wyatt revealed a new face in the Firefly Fun House. The lights went out and the red lights came out. The Fiend came up from under the ring and he tried to drag Bryan under the ring.

Then The Fiend dragged Daniel Bryan under the ring. He tore out some hair and then he kept pulling and yanked more hair out. He seemed to enjoy this. It looked like Bryan was getting a haircut the hard way.
