WWE kicked off their big string of Chicago shows into Survivor Series and finally concluding with Raw on Monday. Last night’s Friday Night SmackDown showed that the company might have added interest going into the weekend.

Showbuzz Daily reports that Friday Night SmackDown pulled in an average of 2.6 million viewers over the two hour broadcast. This is up from last week’s average of 2.35 million.

They had the added intrigue of who was going to show up from any brand. The episode also included plenty of massive brawls and that really does make people stop when they’re channel surfing. There is a reason why WWE does so many damn pull aparts.

We’ll have to see if SmackDown can keep going on FOX and gain a little bit more momentum to reach that 3 million mark once again. So far the show hasn’t been able to come close to the 4 million viewers who tuned in just to see The Rock.
