Welcome to Ringside News’ coverage of WWE Raw for the 18th of November.

Tonight’s show is to be headlined by a match between Andrade and Seth Rollins with the Survivor Series captaincy on the line, a mere six days before the big event. It seems highly unlikely that Andrade will win and captain the team but it could be a great match nonetheless.

Rey Mysterio will appear live tonight, one last time before facing Brock Lesnar at WWE Survivor Series. It’s unclear if the WWE Champion, The Beast himself will be in attendance, but Rey will certainly be looking over his shoulder for an attack from Lesnar.

Of course, being only six days away from Survivor Series, we’re certain to get more run-ins from SmackDown and NXT. And one of those matches could change because tonight Hawkins & Ryder will face The Viking Raiders for the Raw Tag Team Championships. Based on their previous encounters however, it seems highly unlikely the bro’s can come out on top.

WWE Raw

Monday Night Raw from Boston opens with The Man, Becky Lynch, coming to the ring.

Becky kicks off by calling-out both Bayley and Shayna Baszler, the SmackDown and NXT Women’s Champions. She says she doesn’t care about waiting to Sunday, she just wants to fight and what better place for an Irish person to fight than in Boston?

Peyton Royce and Billie Kay, The IIconics come out instead. Royce says they couldn’t stay silent and Kay says they have been left off the Raw women’s Survivor Series team in some grand oversight. They get into the ring and say Becky needs to listen because they are the future and the future is…

Lynch interrupts them and says the future is her and Charlotte teaming together later tonight for some reason, but a better future would be for her to just face them both here and now. Charlotte Flair then makes her entrance and says that she doesn’t want to tag with Lynch either but the forces want them together. Flair says Lynch isn’t the only one who gets to complain about her Survivor Series match, because she is captain of Team Raw in the first-ever women’s triple threat elimination match. Charlotte asks for permission to come into the ring but, out of nowhere, Samoa Joe makes his entrance in a suit.

We’re back live and Triple H is in the ring with Kevin Owens. There are a few NXT Superstars at ringside; Dominic Dijakovic, Damian Priest, and The Forgotten Sons.

Triple H says he’s always loved Boston; he trained with Killer Kowalski just down the road from the arena. Magic happens in this building and tonight is no different. He says he’s here for a similar reason he was for Seth Rollins. However he had a soft spot for Seth, Owens is a different breed. He says Owens turned on his best friend, then he had the guts to walk down the aisle of Raw with the NXT Championship and beat John Cena. Triple H says that Owens, more than anybody, put NXT on the map and legitimised it. But then he was taken. He didn’t want KO to leave and he imagines he didn’t want to leave either, but he was made leave. Made leave by people who didn’t realise until he got there, that they didn’t want him. He reminds Kevin that Kurt Angle fired him, Shane McMahon fired him, and he’s been told over and over he doesn’t fit the mould, doesn’t belong. But he knows where he belongs. He sees the real Kevin Owens; the guy with an in-ring IQ as good as anyone, a guy who is every bit as good as he thinks he is, a guy who doesn’t fit the mould and he loves that. Triple H points to the men on the ramp and say they’re not here to fight him, but isn’t it ironic that they came all this way for him. Yet nobody in the back, his teammates, and not one of them are out here to help. Triple H says they don’t give a damn about Owens but that’s only the half of it. The other half is that they know they wold get their asses handed to them and prove they aren’t the A-Brand anymore.

Buddy Murphy, Mojo Rawley, and more come running down to attack the NXT guys. Adam Cole and The Undisputed Era run in from behind and attack Owens. Triple H berates Adam Cole but the UE continue the attack anyway. The O.C. run down and scare Undisputed Era from the ring.

Charly Caruso is backstage and she announces that, next week on Raw, AJ Styles will put his United States Championship on the line against Humberto Carrillo. He steps in and says he is honoured to have the opportunity.

Paul Heyman cuts a promo sitting in a chair and staring at the screen. He reminds us that Brock Lesnar beat the living hell out of Rey Mysterio and his son Dominic, then took the WWE Championship from Kofi Kingston five days later. After being attacked by Cain Velasquez, Brock Lesnar redeemed the biggest loss of his career and defeated him at Crown Jewel. Then Rey Mysterio, a sore loser, beat Brock Lesnar with a steel pipe. Heyman says that rumours say Brock Lesnar is injured but that’s not true. He says Brock is healthy and will be at Survivor Series. Not only that, but Brock Lesnar has requested the match be a no-disqualification match! Paul says that one of two things will happen at Survivor Series; Rey will pull off the biggest upset in history in what can only be called a miracle; or Brock will beat Rey so bad it will be considered torture and scrubbed from WWE history. So it will either be a miracle or a massacre.

Rey Mysterio joins Charly Caruso backstage and before he addresses Brock, he brings Humberto Carrillo over and tells him he’s incredibly proud of him and to continue on his journey. Rey turns back to Caruso and says Brock Lesnar made the mistake of his life by putting his hands on his son. Rey says he accepts the no disqualification stipulation because he’s already shown what he can do with his little friend, and Mysterio holds up the pipe he beat Brock with. Rey asks Brock if he thinks this stipulation benefits him, but he will hunt him down and make him pay. Mysterio says the old him would demand an apology but they both know that’s not Brock’s style, and that’s OK because this Sunday he isn’t coming for sorry, he’s coming for the WWE Championship. Rey dedicates the match to Dominic.

The camera cuts backstage to Triple H, who says that this is just the beginning. He says at Survivor Series this will be finished and we will see that NXT is the A-brand. He invites Raw and SmackDown to NXT on Wednesday and says the doors will be left wide open. We see ringside again where everyone continues brawling as Raw comes to a close.
