AEW Dynamite Results – November 13, 2019

AEW World Champion, Chris Jericho, makes his way to the ring all on his lonesome.

Jericho says that, much to the chagrin of everyone here in Nashville, he is still Le Champion – try as he might, the entire arena cheered that. Jericho says he proved himself to be the greatest of all-time again. And that’s why he demands a thank you from the entire AEW roster, the back office, the front office, the side office, he wants it.

The fans start chanting “thank you”, but Jericho says he doesn’t care about jackasses from Nashville, he wants a thank you from the roster. He says he has beaten everyone from Darby Allin to Hangman Page and, of course Cody. Jericho says he proved Cody to be nothing more than an entitled millennial son-of-a-bitch.

As is customary, the lights go out in the arena and this time it’s MJF who comes out. The fans boo loud and MJF says they can boo all they want. He says they’re booing because he threw in the towel but if he hadn’t done that Cody’s career would be over. MJF says the fans love Cody but the real Cody only cares about himself, he doesn’t care about the fans. MJF says there is only one person who knows the real Cody, and it’s him.

MJF says the real Cody is a liar, a user-and-abuser, someone who saw a young, talented kid in MJF, and tried to make him a puppet. He calls Cody a sociopath. The fans chant “bull$hit” and MJF says what’s bull$hit is that Cody ever cared for him. All he wanted to do was keep him under his thumb but his thumb wasn’t big enough. MJF says he’s better than Cody and he’s the new face of AEW.

Jericho and MJF come face-to-face and MJF says he’s a big fan. He says he’s heard from a little birdie that Jericho wants him in The Inner Circle. Jericho says that’s funny, because he’s heard MFJ wants to join the Circle. They go back and forth, asking each other. MFJ says he’s sure Chris would love him to join The Inner Circle-jerk and he’s heard that he likes to partake in a little bit of the bubble, but he might enjoy drinking too much. Because he’s the youngest and fastest-rising star in the history of wrestling, and he doesn’t need Chris Jericho.

Jericho mocks his name and says it seems MJF wants to be Chris Jericho. They’re both from Long Island, both have three-letter names, both love scarves, and both have good looks. Jericho says they’re so similar that he thinks MJF’s parents were watching him beat-up Juventud Guerrero 25 years ago. MJF asks “who?”, to which Jericho says “Google it”.

Again they go back and forth asking each other if they want to be partners, then say they both know who the real problem is: Cody Rhodes. Jericho and MJF hug – exactly the way Jericho and Kevin Owens once blamed Roman Reigns. Cody then comes out and walks down the ramp. Cody slides into the ring and attacks MJF, then botches a powerslam with Jericho. Suddenly, Wardlow appears and attacks Cody! He beats him down and ends-up choking him with his tie over the ropes as we head to the break.
