Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley battled in an unsanctioned match at AEW Full Gear that might not have been everyone’s cup of tea. In fact, some fans were absolutely appalled at how far they took things.

Jimmy Korderas brought another edition of Reffin Rants to Twitter and he shared his two cents about Moxley vs Omega. He was not a fan of this match and said they took it way too far.

In the process of taking it too far, Mox and Omega also set the entire pro wrestling business back about four steps as well according to the veteran WWE referee.

“A lot of good stuff, I can even look past the refereeing for once, but that last match… okay, going into it Moxley said, ‘Time for some f’n garbage wrestling’ — you were absolutely right, actually, you understated it.”

“That was ridiculous and you’re trying to compare that to… that wasn’t hardcore. That wasn’t even a weapons match, trying to compare that to ECW and the Attitude Era and somebody yesterday even tried to compare it to The Fiend Bray Wyatt and what’s the difference? Are you kidding? I have to explain that to you?!”

“That was like seven levels above going overboard in my opinion and has no place in our business. That wasn’t the evolution of our business that was four steps back, maybe.”

It doesn’t sound like Jimmy Korderas is on board for any future ultra violent matches in AEW. Apparently, there won’t be another match like that for a very long time and Mox just wanted to do it, so AEW allowed him the opportunity.
