All Elite Wrestling excited plenty of fans during their debut episode of Dynamite on TNT last week. One thing that happened which caused a lot of fans to question AEW’s rules had to do with interference because referees didn’t seem to call a DQ on anything. That changed this week.

Dave Meltzer explained during Wrestling Observer Radio that they really tried to make sure that the referee was distracted this week on AEW: Dynamite. That way the official didn’t see the actions that should normally cause a disqualification.

“To make sure the ref wasn’t looking, yeah they learned from last week,” Meltzer commented.

This new tactic was noticeable during the Jon Moxley vs. Shawn Spears match because whenever Tully Blanchard would make a move to put some damage on Mox, the referee wasn’t looking. This is a far cry from last week as the referees stood by and watched several actions take place from using weapons to outside interference without doing anything.
