Johnny Gargano had a brief stay on the WWE main roster, but he had unfinished business in NXT. Now he never wants to leave again.

Johnny Wrestling recently spoke to TV Insider where he explained that he has no intention of making a jump to the WWE main roster. NXT is his home meaning RAW and SmackDown will have to go without him.

“If I wanted to make it to RAW and SmackDown, I would have already done it. But there is no intent in doing that, and there is no benefit in doing that.”

“I feel in some way we are that band that signs with a major record label, but we’re not going to change what we do.”

“That means a lot of talent will debut and be a part of this brand on a weekly basis but may not be on TakeOver events. You prove yourself in these storylines, you get to the bigger storylines. You go to TakeOver. This will be the brand where there will be no participation medals. You earn your spot and grow into your spot. We’re not going to make TakeOver events longer because we have the bigger bandwidth for storylines. It’s keeping the product for what it is but making more opportunity.”

NXT airs on the USA Network every Wednesday at 8:00 PM EST. Tonight will be NXT’s second week with a full two hour live USA Network program and it sounds like Johnny Gargano is only just beginning.

It’s nice that Gargano loves NXT and never wants to leave, but the fact is if Vince McMahon wants Gargano to make a jump between brands that is going to happen. After all, there is another WWE Draft going on October 11th and 14th.
