WWE found themselves in quite an interesting situation as Dish and Sling dropped FOX Networks just as the blue brand was arriving on FOX. This caused Friday Night SmackDown to not be available for over 12 million homes.

This problem was fixed recently, but WWE sent out several social media blasts in the process to engage their fans for the cause.

Brad Shepard reports on the Oh, You Didn’t Know Patreon that a source close to the situation has commented about how WWE fans are partially responsible for helping FOX get back on Dish.

A high level source in WWE noted that the aggressive effort of the WWE Universe in reaching out to Dish Network was at least partially responsible for the situation being resolved.

Due to FOX now being in 12 million more homes than they were this time last week, SmackDown could pull a pretty good rating once again. Let’s just see how things turn out when the numbers come in, but the WWE Universe apparently really turned out to help get FOX back on Dish and Sling.
