All Elite Wrestling booked a big match on this week’s episode of Dynamite on TNT. Darby Allin will battle Jimmy Havoc and the winner will receive an AEW World Title shot on October 16th in Philadelphia.

Cody Rhodes responded to a fan who broke down Allin and Havoc’s wins and loss records. He also suggested other people are more worthy of a World Title shot.

The American Nightmare further explained AEW’s policy of wins and losses mattering more than ever by revealing that the type of match also plays into their decision.

Quality of wins plays a factor. Not unlike college football. Jimmy beat 2 other major players in the @CrackerBarrel Clash and…

Darby went the distance with me and defeated a legend in Cima. (That match to be featured on “AEW: DARK” this Tuesday. Hosted by @tonyschiavone24 )

Darby Allin and Jimmy Havoc are likely to tear each other apart this Wednesday which could be a huge benefit for Chris Jericho. AEW is just getting going, so it’s nice that Cody Rhodes is clearing some things up along the way.
