WWE pulled in nearly 4 million viewers for each hour of their Friday Night SmackDown premiere on FOX. The first hour brought in 3.9 million while the second dropped slightly to 3.8 million. Now they could be getting way more next week.

FOX and Dish Network have been negotiating in a big way. This also pertains to Sling as that service is under the Dish umbrella. FOX pulled their networks from Dish meaning 12 million customers didn’t have access to the FOX SmackDown debut.

WWE sent out blasts to their social media followers to encourage fans to get FOX back on Dish Network and Sling. It looks like something worked because The Wrap reports that FOX is now back on Direct TV.

They have been blacked out since September 26th, but the consumer demand obviously paid off. Now WWE might see a bump in their ratings next week from those 12 million homes that now have access to the show when it was unavailable last week.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
