Big Surprise For WWE FOX SmackDown Premiere Probably Not Happening

WWE is premiering on FOX this Friday and they will have an absolutely loaded show with matches and guests. It’s a good thing that they have a pre-show for Friday Night SmackDown so they can fit even more guests in that program.

We previously reported that John Cena put out a pretty interesting and cryptic tease that he might appear on SmackDown this week. That would be nice, but it might be hard to pull off.

Cena is a part of the next Suicide Squad film and they are currently shooting that movie in Georgia. PW Insider noted that while it’s not impossible, it would be extremely difficult for Cena to fly across the country in time to make the SmackDown show.

There is a reason why John Cena said that he quietly retired from pro wrestling. He has a lot of projects lined up. That takes a huge amount of responsibility and he can’t wind up injured.

You can never say never in pro wrestling because WWE has a private jet and they know how to use it. It might not be a good idea to hold your breath though because John Cena is a very busy man.
