WWE and AEW are already trying to sign some of the same people to contracts and that trend isn’t likely to stop any time soon.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed Matt Taven’s situation. His ROH contract is reportedly running up at the end of October, but that doesn’t mean he’s leaving.

“The Taven offer [from ROH] would be about three times what NXT guys make, now if WWE wants him, of course, they can beat the offer.”

It was also noted that considering the amount of dates that Matt Taven would work in ROH and the position he’d have that would be hard to pass up. Then again, some guys want to work for WWE and that could always be a selling point for him as well.

We’ll have to see what is next for Matt Taven, but Ring Of Honor will definitely want to keep him around if he’s willing to stay.
