Velveteen Dream lost a hard-fought match for the NXT North American Title during NXT’s debut on the USA Network. Unfortunately for him, he lost the title to Roderick Strong. The worst part is that he also suffered an injury.

We previously reported that several NXT Superstars were banged up after last week’s event in Full Sail Arena. Now we have an update as they enter their second week of live programming.

Cathy Kelley updated fans on the status of Velveteen Dream and others’ injuries during a video on WWE’s social media platforms. Dream is currently “listed as day to day with lumbar pain due to that match [last week].”

Arturo Ruas was listed as having a broken finger thanks to Pete Dunn, but he is medically cleared to compete. The same is true for Kona Reeves who suffered a lacerated cheek during a dark match. Both are now cleared to compete.
