AEW has a big plans for TNT, but Wednesday nights seem to the perfect time of the week for them.

TNT really only had Wednesdays available because the TNT network hosts NBA basketball on Tuesday and Thursday nights. They also never wanted to be in direct competition with Raw or SmackDown Live on Mondays or Fridays.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Tony Khan was recently asked if AEW would ever run on Mondays. That wouldn’t be a good idea due to WWE’s competition, but Khan credited the NFL as the reason he would never choose this day of the week.

Regarding any idea of running on Mondays down the line, Tony Khan has said that he’d never go against the NFL, and that’s four months of the year on Mondays

The Wednesday Night Wars might just stay on Wednesday, but it appears that war could get pretty serious.

WWE might pull some big moves such as bringing back wildly popular Superstars as they continue to fire shots in this new pro wrestling battle. One thing Vince McMahon’s company can be sure of is that Tony Khan won’t be bringing the fight to them on a Monday night battlefield.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
