Google search trends really do matter and when you look at the traffic coming AEW’s way, it blows NXT out of the water.

You can never count out a sudden spark of interest for NXT, but when you look at the last 90 days there’s no denying that AEW is the hotter brand.

AEW had two noticeable spikes of interest coming off a wave from Double Or Nothing. These events eclipsed both of NXT’s peaks in search volume by a substantial margin.

You can check out the side-by-side comparison in the graph below. Seeing something like this means that WWE needs to step up their promotion for NXT or the Wednesday Night Wars might not have the best result for WWE.
