AEW sounds like they’re ready for war and that’s a good thing, because WWE is starting the Wednesday Night Wars two weeks before AEW’s television show even debuts on TNT.

NXT will start airing on the USA Network every Wednesday night at 8:00 PM EST starting on September 18th. This two hour show will run directly opposite with AEW’s TNT show, but they were ready for this challenge.

Fightful Select reports that AEW was aware that WWE was going to counter them. The biggest issue seems to be the fact that they didn’t exactly know when WWE would be starting NXT on the USA Network.

In reaction to the NXT to cable TV news, AEW knew about this well ahead of time and expected it. They didn’t, however, know when the announcement was going to be made.

Perhaps it was a big surprise for AEW to discover that NXT is getting a two-week jump on them. It might not matter much, because AEW still plans on following through with their plans to bring a pro wrestling alternative to fans.

Things should be very interesting as the Wednesday Night Wars progress and we are more than happy to bring you all the news you need to know right here at Ringside News.
