Becoming a WWE Superstar is the goal for a lot of wrestlers, but some are happy staying in NXT for now.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that there are a some people in NXT who “are not clamoring” to make a main roster jump right now. The thought is that they don’t want to risk dwindling into obscurity just for the extra pay.

“I know there are guys — I don’t know who they express it — but, it probably wouldn’t be difficult to figure out who they are who are not clamoring to go up there because they know they’re not gonna be happy. They’re happy, but they’re making 1/3 of the money and probably less than 1/3.”

Certain NXT Superstars could be making three times as much money, but they aren’t “clamoring” to go up. They would much rather be in NXT than be misused on the main roster. Let’s just see if NXT’s move to the USA Network might change things soon enough.
