WWE Superstar Confirms Title Feud Was Dropped

WWE is a place where plans can always change and that seems to be exactly what happened here.

The company seemed to tease Shinsuke Nakamura defending the Intercontinental Title against Ali. Nakamura even cut backstage promo where he expressed no worries about facing Ali. Now that feud has been dropped.

Last night on SmackDown Live, Sami Zayn appeared to take on a new role as Nakamura’s mouthpiece. This resulted in The Miz getting blindsided by an attack from The Artist. Now it appears that Nakamura vs Miz is the company’s new direction.

One fan tweeted out saying: “So wait a minute. The Shinsuke and Ali feud randomly got dropped without Ali ever getting a deserved title shot.” It didn’t take Ali very long to reply with: “Yes.”

This might be a disappointment for fans of Ali, but just imagine how he feels. There will likely be more chances down the line and this certainly isn’t his first setback. Hopefully, this will only give Ali more motivation for his original vignettes.
