Samoa Joe’s demeanor hasn’t changed as he makes his way to the ring and his goal hasn’t been altered either. He wants to be the best competitor in the squared circle, regardless of if he has a title or not.

While speaking to Gorilla Position, Samoa Joe was asked why he hasn’t been granted a top title in WWE yet. At first, he joked that it was “racism,” but he quickly took that back. Then he explained that his story is about overcoming obstacles and that’s just where his character is at the moment.

The important thing to take from this is that Samoa Joe seems very confident about his future in WWE.

“Racism [laughs] I had to say that because I know some fans will say ‘we knew it, we knew it!'”

“You know what, honestly, time and where we’re at in the story. In terms of what the future holds I’m pretty confident about it. Let me put it this way, I’ve faced a lot worse odds in overcoming things and I’m pretty confident of overcoming this one.”

We will just have to wait and see when WWE might finally grant Samoa Joe with a top title in the company. Fans have certainly seemed more than ready to accept him as a champion in the past, but it hasn’t happened yet.

There are plenty of battles left for Samoa Joe and he seemed pretty sure about the fact that he will eventually overcome whatever he needs to in order to eventually win a big title in the company.
