Rey Mysterio is a shoo-in for the WWE Hall Of Fame. He has a great legacy in pro wrestling already, but his son Dominick could be carrying on that pro wrestling tradition soon enough.

Although he hasn’t gotten involved in one of his father’s matches yet, it has certainly been teased. After all, Dominick has trained to be a pro wrestler under the likes of Lance Storm. So, he has some training under his belt, but he’s not ready for WWE quite yet.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that WWE wants Dominick to start back as part of his father’s angle, but we might have to wait to see him wrestle. It is thought that Rey Mysterio’s current storyline might lead to Dominick wrestling, but it won’t happen until next year.

Regarding Dominick Gutierrez, who was on television as part of the Rey vs. Joe angle, they want him to wrestle and this Mysterio angle may play a part in this. Right now the feeling is he’s not ready for in-ring on this stage, but the hope is he’ll be ready in 2020

This could be very interesting to see, especially considering how different of a wrestler Dominick will be from his father. Because Dominick is in a different weight class and he is much taller than Rey Mysterio as well. Therefore, he won’t be a traditional lucha libre performer.
