Goldberg is reportedly coming back to WWE for another match. He will be taking on Dolph Ziggler at Summerslam even though The Miz is currently advertised as Ziggler’s opponent.

With only one week to go until Summerslam, Goldberg hasn’t been seen yet. Ziggler has taken shots at Goldberg, Shawn Michaels, and Mick Foley in his rants at The Miz, but his match against the A-Lister is reportedly a red herring.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Goldberg will likely be confirmed for a match against Ziggler on Raw this week. However, he also commented that nobody is going to expect Ziggler to defeat the former face of WCW.

“Nobody’s gonna believe Dolph Ziggler’s gonna win that match and plus it’s not even gonna be announced until the Monday before.”

We will have to wait and see when Goldberg actually does make an appearance and how WWE goes about booking his return match. We haven’t seen Goldberg perform since his disappointing match in Saudi Arabia against The Undertaker, but it makes total sense that WWE would give both men matches to redeem themselves.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
