Back in 2002, the main roster of WWE was absolutely stacked with some of the biggest stars in the business – to the point where most of the midcarders from that generation either did or should’ve gone on to hold world championships of their own.

At the top of the card, though, sat a string of legends that continually helped to raise the bar for the rest of the roster. Three such examples of that were The Rock, The Undertaker and Kurt Angle, all of whom competed against one another in a WWE Championship triple threat match at Vengeance 2002.

The Great One came away with the belt from that encounter, and as you can see from his reaction on social media, he has fond memories of that night.

Rock wouldn’t be around on a full time basis for much longer, as he slowly but surely began his transition over into the world of Hollywood. Seventeen years later, he’s one of the biggest and most notable stars on the planet.

After his big win he was only able to hold onto the belt for a month, as he lost the championship to rising star Brock Lesnar. This made Brock, at the time, the youngest world champion in WWE history.

Given that it’s been almost two decades since these events occurred, it’s kind of crazy to think that three of the four individuals involved have wrestled within the last six months – with The Rock’s last official match taking place back at WrestleMania 32 against Erick Rowan.
