WWE Superstars come and go, but so do those who contribute to matches in different ways. A ring announcer is the voice of an event and a good ring announcer is not only hard to come by, but they can sometimes be a deciding factor on how good a show is.

It’s been a while since Tony Chimel was able to step in a WWE ring and announce a match, but he did on Friday night as WWE went to Reading. However, he did it for a very good reason.

Chimel said that his grandson is a huge WWE fan, but he has never seen him ring announce. This was taken care of on Friday night.

WWE uploaded a really cool video for Tony Chimel to document the event. At the end of the video, Curt Hawkins chanted “you still got it” at Tony as he sat proudly at ringside. This is very true because Tony Chimel’s voice is still just as good as ever.
