Bayley Defends Title Against Charlotte Flair After SmackDown Live

SmackDown Live is followed by 205 Live every week, but there is usually a dark match surprise for those fans who wait it out and stay until the end. This week was no exception.

Charlotte Flair hasn’t been in action on television since June 4th, but she had a dark match last night against Bayley. This was a match for the SmackDown Women’s Title as well, but The Hugger ended up retaining.

Fans at the SNHU Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire got a real treat with this match. As you can see below it was a pretty intense match. It’s a good thing for Bayley that she did retain because she has a date this Sunday at Extreme Rules against both Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.

The fact that WWE held this dark match could indicate that if Bayley is able to retain at Extreme Rules then she very well may have The Queen to face next. With Summerslam coming up on August 11th, that seems like a logical place for Charlotte Flair to regain her throne.
