Impact Wrestling Slammiversary Results — July 7th, 2019

Taya Valkyrie (c) vs. Rosemary vs. Su Yung vs. Jessicka Havok – Impact Knockouts Title Monsters Ball Match

This match is going to get crazy, and rightfully so. Taya walked to the ring with a pink staple gun in tow.

Yung and Havoc tried to work together as they brought in garbage cans and chairs. Taya tried to staple Havoc, but it was blocked. Then Havoc took a garbage tan to the face from Rosemary. Then Taya stapled Su in the back a few times followed by stapling a Taya 8×10 to Yung’s face.

Then she jammed the paper in Su’s mouth and hit a knee to the face.

Havoc jumped in and nailed a backbreaker on Taya followed by hanging her up for a couple of knees to the face followed a neckbreaker on a chair. Then Rosemary hit a missile dropkick on Havoc followed by some cookie sheet shots to Havoc.

Su hit Rosemary with a dog collar and then tied her up. Su tied the other end to her own neck locking them together. Su sent Rosemary into a chair in the corner before Taya took them both down with a ladder shot. Havoc tried to interrupt, but Taya sent her into the chair with a body scissors.

They tied Taya up in the turnbuckle and Su and Rosemary went up top as Taya reached up and grabbed them before they suplexed each other into the ladder. Rosemarty hit a spear on Taya after Havoc took a spear right into a chair in the corner.

Then Rosemary got the thumbtacks out. Both Taya and Rosemary teased a bump into the tacks before Taya stomped her face into the tacks. Su and Havoc started having words and then Father James Mitchell accidentally took the red mist from Su Yung.

There was a table set up outside as Rosemary and Taya fought on the apron. Then they took a bump through the table as you could clearly hear someone yell: “YOWIE WOWIE!”

Havoc hit a tombstone off the top rope onto the tacks. Then Taya shoved Havoc off of her and stole the pinfall.

Winner: Taya Valkyrie

Rich Swann (c) vs. Johnny Impact – X Division Title Match

They started out slow, but once they got going, Impact rolled out of the ring to avoid Swann. Then Swann and Impact traded arm drags. Swann got out of a submission by kipping up over and over again and then he sent Impact down.

Johnny Bravo collected all of the thumbtacks at ringside and threw them in the ring. Then Impact slapped Swann with his bandanna and crotched Swann on the ropes before hitting a springboard kick.

Impact grabbed the X Division Title while Bravo kicked Swann at ringside. Impact nailed a neckbreaker and taunted the camera before slowing Swann down with another submission hold while he trash talked the fans.

Swann came back with a kick and a rolling DDT. Then Swann swept Impact’s feet while on the middle rope before nailing a kick and an impressive flipping splash for a two count.

Impact left the ring and Rich Swann nailed a corkscrew dive before throwing him back in the ring and nailing a Randy Savage elbow for a two count. Johnny Impact returned fire with a Johnny’s Edge for a two count.

Impact jumped on the apron and went for a springboard dive, but Swann nailed him with a stuff forearm uppercut. Then they went to the top turn buckle and started fighting on top before they both fell to the floor.

Swann ended up on the top rope and Impact nailed two Spanish flies in a row. One from the second rope and another standing for a two count.

Bravo tried to trip Swann, so he got hit with a dive. Then Impact crashed and burned to the floor, but he didn’t sell it much. Swann was going for his springboard cutter, but Impact hit a springboard kick at the same time. Then Impact nailed Starship Pain for a two count.

Swann nailed eight kicks before hitting two cutters and a Phoenix Splash for the win.

Winner: Rich Swann

Brian Cage (c) vs. Michael Elgin — Impact World Title Match

They started off by trading clubbing blows and then Elgin returned fire with two kckis that sent Cage out of the ring. Then once they returned to the ring, Brian began taking advantage of the match. This was followed by a suplex to the corner. This was followed up a dive to the floor.

Elgin countered a clothesline into a dragon suplex and then he started hitting running clotheslines. They went up top and hit a superplex on Brian Cage and his injured back for a two count.

Then Elgin went Brian Cage into the turnbuckles with a lot of force to further the damage on his back. They went outside and Michael drove Brian into the steel barricade before suplexing him onto the apron.

Michael Elgin climbed to the top rope, but his twisting senton dive hit nothing but mat as Cage moved. Cage didn’t maintain control for long before Elgin hit a backbreaker. Cage nailed a superkick and a tornado DDT before hitting a 6-1-9 and a sit-down face buster for a two count.

Elgin nailed an elbow in the corner and climbed to the top, but Cage stopped him and sent his face into the mat with a reverse electric chair drop.

Michael Elgin powerbombed Cage, but couldn’t capitalize with a pinfall. Elgin hyped himself up, but Cage countered and then Elgin nailed a clothesline of his own before taking his elbow pad off and hitting another one. Then he hit an Elgin Bomb for a two count.

Elgin hit a bucklebomb, but Cage came back with a discus clothesline. They blocked each other’s clotheslines and then traded kicks. Elgin hit another boot followed by one more to send Brian Cage down.

Cage reversed another Elgin Bomb into a bucklebomb, but Elgin reversed out of an F5 to hit a flipping piledriver for a two count.

Cage got out of a torture rack and nailed a knee and a powerbomb before hitting an F5 for another two count. “Fight forever” chants started.

Elgin reversed out of a Drill Claw and nailed Cage a couple of times before hitting another spinning forearm and a bucklebomb followed but a backdrop where Cage held on and hooked the legs on a roll-up pin for the win.

Winner: Brian Cage

After the match was over, Michael Elgin nailed Brian Cage with the Impact World Title. Then Elgin tossed Don Callis in the ring, but a masked man jumped in to gore Michael Elgin… yeah it was Rhyno. Obviously, but he didn’t take off his mask.

Sami Callihan vs Tessa Blanchard

Tessa and Sami both brought baseball bats to the ring. This match took some time to start with all of the “Tessa’s gonna kill you” chants.

Blanchard started things out with some forearms and a head scissors before hitting a springboard dropkick and three suicide dives. Sami caught her on the third one and whacked Tessa’s head against the steel railing twice before hitting a Death Valley Driver on the floor.

Then Tessa was thrown back outside very quickly after returning and Callihan nailed a powerbomb to the apron. Sami kicked her in the face and got Tessa to her feet before he hammered her back down.

Tessa came back with a running cutter, but Callihan nailed a stiff big boot and then he took a bow before stomping her ankle. Sami hit a scoop slam on Tessa and taunted the crowd some more. He tossed her on the ramp and told fans to move out of the way. Then he prepared himself to powerbomb Tessa off the stage, but she countered and hit another cutter.

They crawled to the ring and got to their feet. “F*ck him up Tessa, f*ck him up” chants started as they traded shots. Callihan gave her the double middle fingers and asked “is that all you got bitch?” before he hit her with a low blow. Then she nailed a Samoan Drop on Callihan before climbing to the top rope. Blanchard jumped over Sami and then she hit a tilt-a-whirl DDT for a two count.

Tessa tried for a hammerlock DDT, but Callihan blocked her and hit a shoulder breaker followed by a powerbomb and an STF. Once they got back up, Callihan set up for his Cactus Special Piledriver off the top rope, but Tessa got out of it and hit a DDT instead.

Tessa went for Sami, but the referee tried to pull her off so the referee took a bump. Callihan hit her with a baseball bat and a second referee ran in for a two count. Then Sami knocked that referee out because he didn’t like that count.

Sami looked like he was going to kill Tessa with a baseball bat. Tessa spit in Sami’s face, called him a “motherf*cker” and hit him with her own baseball bat. Then Tessa climbed to the top rope for a Magnum. Tessa rolled the pin into a crossface and Sami fought not to tap out before turning it into a tombstone fro a two count.

Tessa gave him the thumbs down and then Sami hit the Cactus Piledriver and got the win.

Winner: Sami Callihan

After the match was over, Sami walked over with the two bats and handed one to Tessa before leaving her alone in the ring.
