The opening of Monday Night RAW last night certainly got people talking, with Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman battling it out in a Falls Count Anywhere match.

As you can probably imagine the bout got way too out of hand, with Strowman and Lashley essentially drawing the RAW stage towards the end of their encounter.

In the immediate aftermath of this WWE released a statement indicating that they had both been taken to a local medical facility. Now, though, they’ve given fans an additional update.

As you can see, they are indicating that Strowman may have suffered a separated pelvis whereas Lashley has been released from immediate care. The majority of people obviously believe that this is nothing more than storyline advancement, but the fact that there’s a seed of doubt in their minds showcases that things may already be changing around here.

That certainly sounds like an overstatement and we can understand why, but nobody can deny that the impact of Paul Heyman is being felt on the show already. Several matches and segments last night felt like they had his own personal touch to them, which is the best possible thing for the programming as we move forward.

There’s no guarantee that this is going to work in a long term environment, but all we can do is sit back and watch to see how things unfold. For now, it certainly doesn’t seem as if Bobby & Braun’s rivalry is going to be put to one side just yet.
