The Street Profits showed up on Monday Night Raw this week as NXT Tag Team Champions. Paul Heyman appeared with them in a backstage sketch, however, they didn’t wrestle on the show.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins were called up to the main roster. The reason why Heyman appeared with them was to get them over in the backstage segment.

WWE noted on their website that the Street Profits could be back “sometime soon.” Therefore, we should probably get used to seeing them around the main roster. They might need to take care of those NXT Tag Team Titles first.

It is interesting that the Street Profits got called up out of the blue like this. Because not only did Raw spoil their surprise, but this is the second pair of NXT Tag Team Champions that WWE called up to the main roster in a row with the last being the War Raiders.
