Cody Rhodes took a pretty mean chair shot to the head at Fyter Fest. This was a very controversial spot because chair shots to the head are a big no-no in pro wrestling nowadays, especially unprotected ones.

The American Nightmare was cut open in the back of his head and it created quite a stir. Shawn Spears turned heel in the process, but AEW really got a bad look as well for approving the segment in the first place. Because even though the chair was gimmicked to bend, Cody Rhodes would have still taken an unprotected chair shot to the head even if things went the way they were supposed to.

Just days after his injury at Fyter Fest, Rhodes updated fans with another look at the back of his head. He got ten staples — not twelve, but that’s still ten too many. It’s good that he hasn’t lost his humor about things as well.

We’ll just have to wait and see if his head is full healed by the time Fight For The Fallen rolls around because Cody has a big match tagging with his brother Dustin Rhodes against The Young Bucks.
