WWE Extreme Rules is going down on July 14th and the company did a lot to book much of the event this week. Now we have another title match added to the card.

WWE Stomping Grounds ran into an issue because they waited for so long before they booked the event. The WWE Super ShowDown card got in the way in that regard, but WWE isn’t making the same mistake twice.

On 205 Live, Tony Nese defeated Akira Tozawa to become the #1 contender for Drew Gulak’s WWE Cruiserweight Title. Therefore, it will be Gulak vs Nese in Philly at Extreme Rules.

The updated card for Extreme Rules is listed below:

Universal & Raw Women’s Championship Match (Winner Takes All)

Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch vs Baron Corbin & Lacey Evans

WWE Championship

Kofi Kingston vs Samoa Joe

SmackDown Women’s Championship

Bayley vs Alexa Bliss

WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Drew Gulak vs Tony Nese

The Undertaker & Roman Reigns vs. Shane McMahon & Drew McIntyre

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
